Be A Mermaid And Make Waves
Happy Saturday beauties. Finally got my hands on a new tarte palette. The last time I picked up a tarte palette was during the holidays. They always bring out some amazing collections. This one is new and part of the mermaid collection which features brushes, skin care etc . The brushes caught my eye but I couldn't let the palette pass me up.
If you love hoarding makeup like I do especially with cute packaging then this one is a no brainer. You need It!
14 jaw dropping range of shades to give you that mermaid look you've always dreamed off. Not only did the packaging catch my eye but the shades did too.
11 mix of mettalics shade shifting shades with 3 mattes. They are Jewel Toned inspired and they contain Amazonian clay and mineral pigments.
What do you think? These are swatches dry and without primer. Did it convince you yet?
From top to bottom is
lagoon (teal luster)
splash (turquoise luster)
shell yea (bronze luster)
sandbar (milk chocolate)
salt water (pale taupe luster)
shipwreck (mahogany)
cavern (burgundy luster)
bubbles (lilac duochrome)
From top to bottom
nude beach (pale gold luster)
frosé (rose gold luster)
mermosa (warm gold)
shore thing (sienna)
beach please (maroon luster)
fin-tastic (antique bronze)
You didn't need to tell me twice. I did read a few reviews and some girls were very unhappy with the mattes but I personally find them to be fun and tarte like. They always roll out the perfect mattes they know will compliment your mettalics. The only disappointment that I had with this palette is the fact that there is a lot of fallout. there was one shimmery shade that came off a bit chunky but the rest of the metallic were not so bad. It is the mattes with the most fallout.
I was able to work around that due to the fact that the pigmentation is there which each and every shade I tested. The blending was very easy to do as well.
My suggestion. Swatch it in store and definitely check out the packaging. It's a must have. Don't let it slip away from you and then live in regret watching the little mermaid on repeat wishing you could have had the mermaid life.
Thank you beauties for checking the blog out today. I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend and leave me your favorite tarte palette in the comments below.
XOXO
