Midnight Mermaid Collection
When you tell yourself you wont do it! But you cave in and do it. I mean how could you not? Wet N Wild's Midnight Mermaid Collection is stunning. The season in a box - Mermaid Collection is no longer available but you can still purchase these items individually in the link here.
The entire box is valued at $59 but I was able to grab it while it was still available for $34. + Shipping.
Color Icon Metallic Liquid Eyeshadow
Four metallic liquid eyeshadows at a price of $4.99. These multi-dimensional shades come in clear tubes with large fluffy doe foot applicators. They dry instantly after application, but I still recommend waiting with your eyelids closed for at least a min to avoid any creasing or transferring.
Shade descriptions from bottom to top:
(All shades look opaque smokey black from the side view)
Moonlight Majesty: Has a purple and violet shift
Mysterious Nights: A metallic tan/ silver shift (If that makes sense)
Aquatic Prism: An ocean blue shift
Laras Necklace: A green Shift
These are quick and easy to use. When you swipe your finger against them after they have dried they have no transfer. They do crumble after 6 hours of wear but Maybe a better primer would have help it last.
MegaLiner Metallic Eyeliner
Three lovely shades at $3.99 each. These were the items I was least excited for in this box. I have purchased similar shades of The megaliner that were released probably 2 years ago. They are great quality for being drugstore liners But I feel a blush or nail polish would have been a more exciting Item. You can not use the eyeliners with the liquid Shadows and I love when a box or collection contains a full look Items.
Megalast Metallic Liquid Catsuit
Four New Shades at $4.99 each. These, unlike last years Spring Metallics, Pack a punch with their pigment. One swipe pigmentation and not only that they are very comfortable to wear. They have very little transfer and last like a regular lipstick. They feel like satin but a little more matte without the dryness. I HIGHLY!! HIGHLY!!! recommend these. The Price is affordable and the shades are perfect for those who like to step out of their comfort zone and experiment.
Mermaid Highlighting Bar
This collection would not have been complete without a Wet N Wild Beauty Highlighter (Midnight Moon). At $6.99 and .30 oz, this long highlighter has a lovely fish tale design and most importantly a unique shift. On the site they describe the shade as a long last pearl. It has a unique greyish, ivory and mix of gold shift. It is very soft to the touch and blends out nicely. I'm still not sure about how I feel that there is a bit of grey in the formula. I wore it and just wasn't too happy with the grey I saw when I looked straight in the mirror. Aside from that it is still a great collection piece.
Looks I created
On the eyes I used the liquid Eyeshadow in the shade Moonlight Majesty. On the lips I am wearing the metallic liquid lipstick in the shade Sirens Jewels. And the Highlighter (Did not show up well in the pictures), is the midnight moon Highlighter.
On the lips I am wearing Harbor a Crush.
I hope this post helps you decide on which items to grab and which to pass on. It is a lovely collection from product packaging down to the formula. You can find these Items sold individually on the Wet N Wild beauty website, at Ulta, and all drugstores that carry Wet N Wild. They are limited edition so once they are gone, they are GONE. What caught your attention?
Thank you for checking the blog out. Don't forget to subscribe. Have a great rest of your day.
