The New Avon A box

Look what is new! Avon has jumped on this trend: Subcription boxes at affordable prices. This one in particular does not require you to sign up for monthly or yearly. It in fact allows you to see what is in the box before you make your purchase.  

As part of the Avon Insider I was sent this lovely box. Want to know how you can get one? Well... With every $40 purchase from the campaign 18 brochure, you make with your avon rep you can get this neat A box for just $10. Whats Inside?

A full face of products with shades related to the theme of that two week period. Yep, this box will be available with a new theme every two weeks. Here are the products I was recently sent.  But as of right now there is a new box up for grabs. All the items in each box are equal up to 4 or 5 times the price of the box. 

True Color Lipstick

The lovely fall shade I was sent is the avon true color lipstick in the shade Vamp. This lipstick has a slightly glossy finish and it is not completely opaque. You will have to layer it to get a full lip color.

It was very comfortable on the lips and after an hour or two of wear you can see a lovely berry tint surface. This shade is lovely for all skin tones and gives off fall vibes.

Romantic Mauves

This Lovely quad comes with 4 soft mauve like shades. They each have fine shimmer and can be used in any order or combo. There is very little fall out and the shadows blend out really well.

Swatches of the three items in the Fall A box. The first four on the left are the eye shadow quad shades. The 5th from the left is the lipstick. (3 layers to be exact). And the final swatch is of the lovely Eyeliner which I was not able to get a picture of. The eyeliner is in the shade sugar plum and can be seen as a lovely deep plum with purple shimmer. It glides on softly and last almost all day.

Big Daring Volume Mascara

This mascara is huge. The wand is larger then most I have seen and it has a slight curve. The bristles are pretty long and positioned closely together.

Avon True Color Nail polish

This fall inspired vamp purple called midnight plum, almost looks like a black shade but in the light you can see the purple tone. For full coverage I did an even three layers. Just make sure to cover the nail evenly for the best application and finish. (please excuse my crappy application.)

Here is the Look I created using almost all the products in the A box I received. Definitely a mauve, vamp, fall, lovers collection. The eye shadow performed really well and even though I prefer a matte shade in my quads I really enjoyed these mauve subtle shimmer shades, I used the number one shade in the palette to brighten up the colors and make the look less gloomy and more fun. The Mascara helped give my lashes a bit of length but most of all they did get the volume they needed. One specific thing I realized is this mascara helped my lashes stay lifted rather then droop over because the weight. I did not use the daring mascara for my bottom lashes as it was a bit scary to use without the fear of spreading product under my eyes.

The liner completed the eye look. If there is one specific product I highly recommend is the eyeliner. So long lasting, so  pigmented, and such a lovely color. The final product is the lipstick. I would use it again with a more neutral eye for any regular day or glam it up with a smokey eye for a night out.
