Pur cosmetics vanity palettes

Pur Cosmetics Vanity Palettes

Hey loves the weekend is almost here. Hope you are having a fun and relaxing Thursday. I am bringing you another two lovely products I received from Octoly. These are the vanity palettes. A very unique, travel friendly, and full face palette.

These two lovely palettes are available at Sephora, kohls, and ulta. They retail for $36 and what makes them truly unique in my opinion is that the mirror pops up to a vanity like mirror. How amazing is this palette? Perfect for travel am I right? I like to be lazy and sit in bed when I do my makeup so this will be perfect.

Each contain 4 eyeshadow shades (On the right) A highlighter, blush, and bronzer (On the left and center). The mirror stand folds down and closes just like a compact. It isn't bulky or heavy at all. I just recommend being very careful not to toss it around. You can see some knicks and cracks on one of the palettes I received from the shipping.

"Goal Digger"

Goal digger is considered more of a night out palette. It contains two smokey type shadows combined with metallic.  The highlighter is more "Bam" in your face. The blush is more vibrant and the bronzer is more of a warm orange brown. If the bronzer shade doesn't work out for your contour just remember you can use it as an eyeshadow as well. Any of the face shades can be used as an eyeshadow.

Palette shade names from bottom to top:
Highlighter: Glow getter
Blush: Glambition
Bronzer: Motivation
Eyeshadows: Aim high
24/7
No limit
Grind

The shades had great pigmentation. The lightest shade of  the eyeshadows (Aim high) didn't swatch well on the pic but it did apply well on the lids with a good primer.

This was my look using the three face shades and the eyeshadows Aim high on the inner part of the lid and 24/7 on the outer crease. I also used the highlighter around the tear duct. They surprisingly blend out really well.

"Dream Chaser"

Dream Chaser is my favorite of the two palettes. This palette is perfect for everyday use and contains more soft and neutral shades. No shimmer just mattes.

Palette shade name from bottom to top:
Highlighter: Illusion
Blush: Visionary
Bronzer: Driven
Eyeshadows: Aspire
Fantasy
utopia
Good intentions

The highlighter in this palette is more like a soft powder. It contains very light metallic shimmers.
The bronzer is more of a lighter bronze shade that works well for light to some medium skin tones.

This soft everyday look was created using the entire palette. I used all 4 shades of eyeshadows on the eyes. Bronzer was a very soft shade that contours without that excessive drama. Does that make sense?
Overall I rate these palettes a 7 out of 10. Very unique, travel friendly and you have two options: dramatic or neutral. I want to thank octoly again and pur cosmetics for the chance to try this palette. It will never change my opinion. Do give it a try in stores. Also Thank you to all who checked my post tonight. Have a lovely weekend.

XOXO Ruby

Too Faced unicorn tears lipstick

My first too faced lipstick. The price always pushes me away me from buying. But this specific lipstick had me frantically searching my local Ulta and Sephora. I got lucky at Ulta. For a $22 lipstick this is beautiful and totally worth it. At first glance you expect it would go on light blue right? Wrong! You can not even tell it will be a metallic lipstick or that you will even get some pink from it.             When I first saw swatches on instagram I knew I needed this baby in my life. I love unique lipsticks. It goes on a light pink tint topped with metallic blue with a little bit of purple shimmer.  The shine on this baby is unexplainable. Its a lipstick that screams futuristic, artistic and girly all at once in my opinion. I love it. You can not feel the shimmer even after it begins to fade. You even forget your wearing a lipstick.             ...

With so much going on I kind of have not made it a priority to bring you more reviews regularly. So I set a little time today to bring you a review on these lippies that were gifted to me by Covergirl Cosmetics.   Description on their site: Pump up your pout with this Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick. This matte liquid lipstick is infused with nourishing ingredients and glides on easily for a smooth finish. Add high impact, super rich color with a matte finish to your lips. Packaging is a clear tube with a small soft doe foot applicator.  The only problem with this is that you can not cover the entire lips with one swipe.  The applicator picks up little product and the darker shades require an extra layer or two ...
