More Colourpop? Yes, Please!

More Colourpop? Yes, Please!

Did I hear you say you wanted another colourpop post? You must already be informed of some of their new releases. If not, I am here to share two of their new recent releases and forever selling out products: Their new highlighter palette (I Like Your Face) and (Yes, Please!) Palette. And if you are not to familiar with Colourpop....these are their first ever palettes.

The Yes, Please! palette or what I thought was called the Cute AF palette retails for $16. Very affordable if you ask me. It is fairly small and I did notice the pan sizes are smaller then their individually sold single shadow pans but the quality is amazing.

It has very simple packaging. No fancy artwork, buttons, or mirror. Just simple light material with the Yes, please! yellow  cover for palette and Cute AF on the palette packaging. The palette has 12 shades: 7 mattes and 4 metallics. Couldn't help to think about sunflowers when I saw the palette.  I love that they actually thought of including a matte and a metallic yellow. I also heard it compares to the Natasha Denona but hunny you already know! I don't have that type of money to spend on a palette. I will settle for the cheaper yet still lovely Colourpop dupe.

From bottom to top:
Note to Self: matte warm caramel
Mischief: matte warm yellow
Full-Zip: matte warm ivory
                                                         Big Cocktails: matte orange
                                                      Champs: matte pale peachy nude
                                                               Bling: metallic rust
Louie: metallic duochrome red with a gold flip
Butter Cake: metallic pale yellow gold
                                                            Spoiled: matte brick red
                                                         Gno: matte burnt orange
Chauffeur: metallic duochrome bright orange with a gold flip
French Kiss: matte deep red brown

(As described on their website)

The bottom three photos are the two looks I created using the palette.

Big cocktails on the crease, full zip on the lid and I topped it with the beautiful Louie to create this All over orange look.

For my favorite look using this palette I used 4 shades: I blended out spoiled on the inner and outer corner, then added a bit of French kiss on top of that. For the center part of the lid I used full zip as my transition shade and topped it with butter cake. I am also using colourpops love bug on the lips.

Over all I highly recommend this palette. It sells out so quick I was able to grab it the second time around. As of right now it is sold out and I'm not exactly sure when the next restock will be. I suggest checking out some lovely colourpop groups on instagram to get updated info. And a piece of advice is if, lets say they restock at 10 a.m make sure to log in the website at that exact time. Don't wait 2 or 5 min. Girls!! its a war out there for this palette!

Now on to the Palette I was able to get it in my cart on the first release. This is the I like your Face Highlighter palette. Again their first Highlighter palette.

This palette contains 6 highlighters that of course are larger then the eye shadow pans. I believe this one retails for $14. They feel soft to the touch and they do kick up a lot of product. I am in the light to medium skin tone range so I was able to use 4 of the shades.

Again the packaging is very simple and this one did not come with a slip cover. (If that is what you would call it)? But what matters is what is inside right? I was not able to get a good picture of the highlights one the face so I will leave you with these swatches and descriptions of the shades that I found on their website.

                                                                 Extra: pale gold
                                                             Upgrade: baby pink
Bottomless: tangerine with a gold flip
Full Service: pink with a gold flip
                                                        Bigger and Better: champagne
                                                     Total Package: metallic rose gold

If you are a fan of their highlight pots these are not as soft to the touch as those. These are more of  soft powder. You can in fact use a large fan brush with these as supposed to the highlighters in the pot that the only way to get good application you need to use a stiffer brush or finger. I'm crossing fingers we get more of these palettes.
Anyways ladies and gents (If there is any reading?) Thank you for checking the blog out and I hope you have a lovely rest of your week.

xoxo Ruby

Too Faced unicorn tears lipstick

My first too faced lipstick. The price always pushes me away me from buying. But this specific lipstick had me frantically searching my local Ulta and Sephora. I got lucky at Ulta. For a $22 lipstick this is beautiful and totally worth it. At first glance you expect it would go on light blue right? Wrong! You can not even tell it will be a metallic lipstick or that you will even get some pink from it.             When I first saw swatches on instagram I knew I needed this baby in my life. I love unique lipsticks. It goes on a light pink tint topped with metallic blue with a little bit of purple shimmer.  The shine on this baby is unexplainable. Its a lipstick that screams futuristic, artistic and girly all at once in my opinion. I love it. You can not feel the shimmer even after it begins to fade. You even forget your wearing a lipstick.             ...
