A Colourpop Haul
At this point I think I my interest is in everything Colourpop. I mean why would I not. They recently released a really good deal and some great products I just could not resist. A bundle of lippie stix at an affordable price in the most cutest packaging, the Iluvsarahiii collection, new super shock shadows, and most importantly the freebies. Every $10 I spent that day allowed me the opportunity to choose a mini satin lip.
Freebies always get ya don't they? They don't? Well they sold it for me. The minis are so adorable but honestly they are freakin tiny. I don't know how many uses I'll get out of them but I'm sure samples for me are always the most used products. I like the feeling I get when I finally finish a product though I think It will be bitter when these two lovely shades are gone.
The satin formula is amazing. Highly pigmented and so comfortable on the lips. They aren't kiss proof and the down side is some shades like to travel off the lips and unto the teeth. But if you did not like the mattes these will be a great option to go with because they are long lasting without the dryness the mattes cause.
Strip: Warm Beige
London Fog: Pinky Red
The main reason for this haul was the bundle specials they had going on. The over brunch set features six of their lippie stix, 3 different formulas, 2 of them being new shades. The set is currently still available for $25. I picked it up for $20 that day but I feel it is worth it's price.
The inside of the box contains a small mirror and the lippie stix sit snuggly in the box. You can shake the box and they will not move around. I just recommend keeping these lippies out of the heat. You don't want to be surprised when you open one up and its melted.
This bundle features the best spring shades. You get nudes, a berry, and some pink shades. Each lippie stix retails for $5. I think you can find most of the shades sold individually.
Faded (Crème): rosey coral
Cami (Matte X): cool toned mauve
Mirror, Mirror (Matte X): True berry
Rooftop (Crème): cool toned pink
Payton (Matte X): peachy pink
Parker (Matte): Mid tone warm nude
Lip swatch of the shade Rooftop. This crème formula really surprised me. It is a lovely cool toned pink. I would say it lasted about three hours before it began to fade and turn into a fuscia stain that lasted another 4 hrs. WOW! I always avoided the crème formula because I like my lipstick to last a long while. I was proved wrong. I will be more open now about trying more shades in this formula.
The Iluvsarahiii collection also caught my attention. I'm embarrassed to say this but I'm not a follower or fan of hers. Not because I don't like her but I had not heard of her before. The shade selection in this collection caught my attention. The eyeshadow palettes are a bit pricey for me but as always the lip products remain the same price at $6. I just couldn't miss out on this color.
Box packaging with collections is always cute and unique. This collection features an ivory white with gold in a snake skin like pattern. The product packaging for the lipsticks features the collab artist Instagram or youtube name and for this collection a gold instead of the usual silver.
Lip swatch of the shade 951: A mid tone warm nude.
I was expecting a lighter shade but this on the lips was more than I expected. It gave my lips a more fuller appearance.
The haul would not be complete without picking up another Super Shock shadow in the shade Donna. That's 70's show was the reason Maybe? It is part of the studio 1400 Quad which is on last call right now and you can grab four shades for $14 or individually for $5 each. I only picked up donna.
Donna: Emerald Green
This is a soft pearl finish. No shimmer. As always I recommend applying these with your finger. then if you need to blend out you can use a soft fluffy brush. Once they set they don't budge and last all day.
I have another haul coming soon that I can not wait to share with you all. I will try to get some more brands on here as well because I have so much to catch up on. So don't forget to subscribe with your email or add me on Instagram to get a look at my posts before they go on here. Thanks for those checking in regularly. Have an amazing weekend.
XOXO Ruby
