Wet N Wild Spring Collection
Hey loves, It has been so long since my last post I thought I would ease back into your lives with some not so new but newish items from Wet N Wild. Wet N Wild has become a most exciting brand from the drugstore to collect. They bring out new items all the time and they are drool worthy.
The collection I'm sharing today is called "Queen of my Heart Collection" and if you didn't find it in stores as you had hoped there is still a chance to grab them online. The spring Season in a box is available online for $29 (just checked and its $24.99)
The collection features a :
Kabuki brush $3.99
3 Mega Glo Lip and cheek tints $4.99
A lip gloss palette $5.99
3 Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio $2.99
and 2 Mega Glo Highlighting Powder $4.99
I only picked up the eyeshadows and highlighting powders for this review.
Mega Glo Highlighting Powders
Left is the "sweetest bling" and on the right is "lilac to reality". These are very silky to the touch, you can dip your brush around the edges to pick up just the intended color or swipe your brush across to add more shimmer to your shade.
Above I swatched both shades using my finger and no primer. The lilac to reality on the right is just stunning and very unique. When I moved my arm around I could see the shift of blue surface. Its very unique and a must have. These fun shades are becoming a trend and adding a fun pop of color to your makeup.
I had the chance to wear the sweetest bling recently and I really enjoyed the shade. I couldn't capture it as well as I wanted to on camera but you can still see some of its shimmery goodness. I like to use a real techniques small contour brush to apply my highlight. It's dense enough to pick up the product and blend it evenly. I just want to also mention that don't be fooled by the price. This lovely $5 highlighter can stand tall and proud next to a higher end one. Wet N wild has been killing it with their quality. You are not only saving money but you are spending that little bit well.
Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio
At $2.99 I had to have all three. These mini trios are perfect to throw in your makeup bag. I never really use the applicators that they come with or pay attention to what each shade is specifically for. I like to play around with the shadows and use them on my center lid or inner lid. You can even swipe it under your bottom lash line for a fun eyeshadow look.
Will you Marina Me
A favorite for many of my followers on Instagram. That blue just alone sells it for you. It reminds me of Jasmin from Aladin's shade of blue.
I cant specifically go into detail about each shade because I simply am horrible at describing colors, unless they are the primary ones. But I will do my best to compare the three palettes The shade described as the brow bone shade can be considered a champagne gold shade. The crease shade is a brown with a bit of gold. And the eyelid shade is a sky blue with a hint of ivory. (In my Opinion)
Heiroglyphic Heart
This trio is my favorite and the only one that does contain a matte shade.
Compared to the Marina trio the brow bone is less goldish and more like an Ivory . The crease is a matte shade and this is where I draw a blank in describing the shade but its definitely going to be used regularly. The eyelid shade is just lovely. Compared to marina this brown has a shift of gold. It looks brown in the palette but swatched and hit by the light just right you can see the gold.
Heart and Heavy
The final palette features a more feminine girly touch.
Brow bone and ooo yes! a inner eye corner for me shade is a pearly white. Currently drooling over this shade. the crease is a subtle shimmery plum. And for the eyelid a rosy pink. Very feminine and soft.
I'll end it here incase I'm loosing some of yall. This was a long post but I think I covered the most wanted items. These trios and powdered highlighters are a must. My heart skipped a beat when I found the full display but I only had enough in my pocket to take these to my home. I really wish I could have grabbed the heart palette. I know there was mixed reviews on the quality you get of each shade but if you get the chance to see the shades swatched it will definitely change your mind as mines was.
Thank you for stopping by to check my blog out today. Hope you have an amazing weekend.
