2016 Stand Outs
Hey beauties. I thought about posting up a favorites of 2016 featuring all products for face but decided instead to keep it short and straight to the point by sharing the beauty products I found to be the stand outs of the year for me. I will get straight to it beginning with the brand featured above. I was introduced to Devinah Cosmetics in March of 2016. Since then I have bought the single shadows above and as well 3 highlights. I have watched this brand grow so much in just a year. Someone who offers such great customer service, quality products and constant great sales deserves the recognition. DeAndra the owner of this independent business is definitely a boss lady.
Their is a variety of colors I always have a hard time choosing what to get. You also have the chance to order any size of pan and she also now offers palettes to house your lovely collection in. They are very affordable but if you want to save more you can also use my code RUBIRED to get $$ on your order. Shipping is quick too.
Used Fun dip (Metallic) in the center and Adorn (Matte) in the corners.
The quality of the shadows is amazing. They blend effortlessly and they last long with any primer. I personally love her metallic ones. They are perfect for creating endless looks.
Juvias Place
Another stand out brand to watch out for this year is Juvias Place. They also do quick shipping and have affordable prices. They currently released a new palette called the Saharan that you don't want to miss out on. Their palettes are to die for!! They contain large pans and colorful packaging. well the Nubian 1 is a bit smaller but the palette featured here is almost twice the size. I ordered the Nubian 2 palette during the fall and have not put it down since then. Every time I need a transition color or pop of color I can find it in this palette.
All colors swatched really well and you can even use a wet brush to make the metallic shades really pop but dry they still performed well. 4 mattes and 8 shimmers create a limited amount of looks if you like to get creative.
Morphe brushes
Nope not done with palettes yet. The Final palette I had to share is Morphe 35C. A matte eyeshadow palette that offers all the colors you need. its a perfect beginner palette to introduce you to color or a palette for a pro. An all in one. The first row features neutral shades perfect for the crease and the dark shades perfect for a smokey eye. I picked this one up on hautelook for $18 but they are very affordable on their website and if you are California do try checking out their store. They have all the palettes and so many brushes you will probably walk out with empty pockets but a happy heart.
Je Beau International
This is not the first time you probably have seen me post about these. These bronzers are the ...(4 letter word I cant add on here but you can imagine me mention). They are high end quality. I personally love the darker shade. They blend well and last a long, long time. They are huge, beautiful baked bronzers that contain shimmer but they actually give your face a beautiful glow. 10% off your purchase goes to a non profitable organization called healing hearts of animals. How sweet is that. I will leave the link here if you would like to check them out.
ColourPop Lippie stix
And moving on to my favorite beauty product from a now very famous brand is, Colourpop Lippie Stix. I love that you can pop the top off, twist, and apply these heaven sent lipsticks. For $5 each they are affordable and the quality is great. They come in matte, satin, sheer, pearlized, and my favorite, matte X formulas. The shades you see above are either matte or matte X. The difference between both is that the matte X dries to a complete matte that has little transfer. As for the regular matte, it is a very comfortable matte that does transfer but last longer then regular lipsticks.
I am wearing Ziggy on the lips. My favorite shade from the Matte X formula. Its the perfect burnt orange I have been searching for. The gem of my collection of lippie Stix.
They offer a variety of shades as well and are constantly coming out with new collections, collaborations or limited edition sets. The three featured above are also part of the matte X formula. And if you are a first time purchaser don't forget to subscribe to their email list so that you can get a $5 code off on your next purchase.
Amazing Cosmetics
Are you still on the search for the perfect concealer? this year I learned that Amazing cosmetics offers a variety of concealers. If you want full coverage, light coverage, a range of shades, illuminizing, hydrating, or color correcting they have it all. You can find them at Sephora or on their website. They are a bit pricey but their products have lasted me a long time. My personal favorite is their amazing concealer featured above. A tiny drop covers my entire face. It is a full coverage concealer with a very thin formula. I apply it on my tzone (where I have the most acne marks) and use it to contour. I will then set it with a powder to avoid creasing and it last all day. They have travel sizes available if you are hesitant to try before you spend big.
Nugg Beauty
I can not end my stand outs without a face mask. Nugg beauty worked magic on me this past year. I have dry skin and sometimes a combination but mainly dry. They sent me along a set that is especially created to help dry skin. It contained the 4 products you see above. An exfoliator, 2 hydrating, and one soothing. I used them according to the instructions included on the packaging and saw instant relief . I have not had dry skin since then but I also do use the hydrating masks often to avoid it ever returning.
These little masks are affordable and fool proof. They are perfect for sensitive skin and have light fragrances with natural oils and extracts. You can purchase these online or in stores at target.
Thank you for checking out my favorites. I hope you have a lovely week and if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment below or even let me know what were your favorites and what should I try out this year.. I left links to the websites of the products anywhere you see the names highlighted. Hope it helps.
Love,
Ruby
