Limited Edition Colourpop x Hello kitty Collection
Hey loves. How cute is this hello Kitty collab packaging? As of November 2nd this cute little kitty made its appearance at what I believe is a fast growing beauty brand. Colourpop released 2 satin lips, a metallic, 3 glossy lips, a highlighter and blush, a quad, 3 lippie stix and a makeup bag featuring the lovely packaging you see above. The names are adorable. Being a huge hello kitty fan there was no doubt I would miss out on such an awesome collab.
I picked up what I could afford at the moment because Colourpop currently has my credit card maxed out. I was able to grab a metallic, a satin, and a lippie stix along with a highlighter. Other than the cutest little bows and the hello kitty writing on the side, the white and silver packaging with clear tubes remains the same. Prices are also the same (Thank you Colourpop for that!). 6 dollars for the satins and metallics, $5 for the lippie stix, and $8 for the highlighters. These are lovely and affordable.
Above I tried to get artsy fartsy with my swatches so I hope you can see the color well and please try not to judge my art skills so harshly. Date Mate I would consider a matte x formula. Matte x are amazing lippie stix if you love a good long lasting lipstick that does not transfer easily. Tiny chum is my favorite of the 3 because it is a more wearable color and it's an ultra satin. The ultra satin formula is the most comfortable liquid lipstick I have yet tried. Its a pinky mauve color and it is very long lasting.
I swatched a few colors above to compare the color. All the shades are from ColourPop. You can still find them on their site. The closest to compare in color is tootsie and lumiere. Tootsi is still a little more browner and lumiere has a bit more red. So do not worry if you have already ordered and are fearing that you bought exact colors because you can notice the difference in person.
The shade I am wearing above is the third lipstick I purchased. The shade is surprise and this one is a metallic finish. It was my first metallic I purchased and will say I was not to thrilled with the formula. It is a bit sticky. Sticky can be tolerable but I prefer it not be there.
And the final item I purchased from this collab was the highlight called "School Is fun". Yea right school is not fun unless you are in elementary. I would have called it school is stressful but it had to be cute. This highlighter is a pearlized highlighter and is described on their site as a soft irrediscent duo chrome gold. It so buttery soft to the touch, I thought it would start melting in my fingers. I loved the shade but as always I have a hard time getting the product to show up on my face. I Heard maybe adding a liquid base and then the highlight over it would help it show up better. I still felt I needed to get a few layers on to be able to see it glow. If you are very impatient with layering then you might want to skip out on this one.
Well that is it ladies and gents. I will leave the link here that will lead you straight to the collab page and Rumors are they are going to be adding two more lip products to the collection and making one of the set lippies a single. The shade is ribbon and trust me when I say its the prettiest red I have seen and if you love reds keep your eye out for that one, Thankyou again for checking my blog out and remember this is a limited edition collection so grab what you want now before it is to late. Have a lovely night and do not forget to subscribe.
