Wet N Wild Sequins and Stardust Collection
Hey its me again with more Wet N Wild news. This new collection just recently surfaced at Rite Aid But can be found at Walgreens, CVS, and maybe even Kmart. I found everything I got at Rite Aid. This new Limited Edition set has eye lashes, 4 lip glosses, 4 nail polishes, a new lovely highlighter,
and I believe 4 or 5 loose pigment eye shadows. You can find the whole set on their website here. It retails for 35.00 which I think is a really great deal considering how beautiful everything is.
Prismatic Lip Glosses
This year they brought out 4 lovely primastic lip glosses. Each retail for $2.99. Affordable right? heck yes. these are so pigmented and the shade range is lovely.
The shade I am wearing in the picture above is "boogie white lights" and it looks white in the tube. On the lips you get a lovely white/pink/ metallic shade. You do have to give them time to settle because when you first apply it sinks in to every fine line on your lip. Once it settles it smooths out and makes for a very unique lip color. My favorite from the 4.
The second shade I am obsessed with from this collection is "Moxie Brown" Such a cute fun name. This goes on as a bronzy gold and as you see above it is very pigmented. Fits in perfectly with the metallic trend right now.
The following lovely shade is "loco potion". It is the second orange tube in the collection but this one actually has some pink/ violet shimmer. On the lips it is very sheer. You get a slight hint of orange and the shimmers are bearly visible. This lip gloss along with the final lip gloss in the next picture would make great toppers. One thing I did want to mention is that I experienced an oily taste in my mouth every time I applied these. Other then that they last as a normal lip gloss would and they leave your lips feeling so moisturized. Almost as if you are wearing a lip balm.
The final shade is the yellow shimmery lip gloss called "Ring My bellbottoms". Alone this shade is very sheer with a hint of yellow shimmer. I decided to use this lip gloss on top of Lime crime matte liquid lipstick in the shade "black velvet". It almost gave a leather look to my lips.
Megalast Nail polish
As always they brought out 4 new nail polishes to go along with the theme. The shades I picked up are shown above. from left to right is (studio glitter and gold, R-U-Free-2 dance, and I dream of jean genie) The shades are very lovely and the quality of these nail polishes is really good. I have noticed there are some that are very pigmented and with two applications you are set but then there are the very sheer ones you have to build up. You still can not go wrong with this collection either because at $1.99 each you are not losing anything.
The only one I have tried recently is "I dream of Jean Genie" this shade is so lovely. It actually took 2 applications to get the final look above. It is a navy blue with gold shimmer. It was very long lasting. I had this shade on my nails for 2 weeks with minor chipping. I am still currently trying out the other colors which I will post on my instagram. Just search up @rubiredlipstick.
Color Icon Loose Pigment
These lovely loose pigments retail for $2.99. They can be used on the eyelids or over the cheekbones as a highlight. I was only able to find two shades, but I find the packaging to be so convenient. It has a lid but then when you unscrew another plastic you flip open. I am not sure what is the correct term for the part where the powder comes out but I love it because It is mess free. Everything pours out nicely so it is not a hassle.
The two shades I picked up where "Heart of Rose Gold" which is the bronzy shade and then "Kungfulighting" which is the lightest shade.
I am wearing both shades on the lid here. I'm very sorry that the lighting was awful but they do go on very nicely and they have such a subtle shimmer.
About the highlighter I have a review, video and swatches on my instagram if you would like to check that out. I will leave the link here.
Thank you again to all of you who take time to check out my blog. I will have more posts coming so please subscribe and leave any comments or questions you have below. Have a lovely weekend.
