Milani Everyday Eyes Palettes
Happy Friday everyone. So I'm trying to get on track and review some brand products for you guys just to get my opinions and thoughts out there for you guys about some of the products I've recently been digging into and enjoying. Lately I have been reaching for these new lovely palettes Milani has released. Well apparently not so new because these were released the beginning of spring and we are now in summer. A few months late but until recently I have been seeing these palettes at drugstores and stores like Walmart and Target. I no longer need to be on the hunt because pretty much they seem to be well stocked up on them. Aren't they stunning? They used to have the single eyeshadows, which can now be found at dollar stores. I managed to grab a few before they were discontinued from cvs at half the price so I'm a bit disappointed I did not wait. If you would like swatches and a review on those you can leave me a comment below or shoot me an email. I'd be more then happy to pull those out for you.
(Milani Bella Single eyeshadows)
So on to the only 2 lovely palettes I have been able to grab. There are a total of 6 Palettes I believe. There is a cool neutral, Warm Neutral, Smoky Neutral, Plum and mauve one, Earthy with terracotta, and bright color one. They retail for $10.99, but usually CVS offers a BOGO half off so keep your eye out for that one.
((01)Must have Naturals on the top and (05)Earthy Elements and the bottom)
These palettes sort of remind me of Kat von D's new mini quad palettes, not in the packaging of course, but the fact that they stick to a theme. So if your feeling like a nude soft look you can pick up a single palette with that shade range without having to look around for a base, lid, liner etc. Each palette offers a base, contour, lid, crease, specialty and liner. There are 2 to 3 matte shades and 3 to 4 shimmers shades in each. The specialty can be used for the inner tear duct or even as a subtle highlight. As for the Liner you may use it wet or dry, and apply with an angle brush for an eyeliner or brows. Use them as you please. The quality is amazing!
(05) Earthy Elements
This palette caught my attention because of the lovely matte orange shade. They all swatched beautifully except for the first one that seemed a bit dry. The Final bottom brown shade had a bit of fallout. Other than that these drugstore palettes are worth every penny. They feel very soft to the touch and as you can see in the above picture, they swatched really nice without primer.
(01) Must Have Naturals
This palette is wow. Just alone the swatches tempt you. Don't cha think?! I love it. I've reached for this one the most and boy is that black dark. It swatched beautifully and went on nicely on the lids. These shadows blend like heaven, last all day and wash off without a hassle or scary mess.
About the packaging.... Well like all other Milani products these have gold packaging and clear tops. I's a good thing because you may find the palette you are looking for a lot easier but I'm sort of eh about it cause my poor palette top are scratched and stained already.
(Brush that comes in the palettes)
They don't include a mirror just a double sided brush. It's an ehh for me as well. At least it's not a sponge tip. It does pick up product well but I would rather prefer to use a good blending brush. Below I have included some looks I created using each of the palettes. They are not the greatest but I hope you get an idea of the pigmentation
